Yesterday, our annual internet safety presentations were provided to students in grades two(2), four(4), six(6), and eight(8) yesterday. The program is called NetSmartz and is an an interactive, educational program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) that provides age-appropriate resources to help teach children how to be safer online and offline. The program is designed for children ages 5-17, parents and guardians, educators, and law enforcement. Click the links below to discover more about your child’s NetSmartz presentation.
Next Wednesday, September 30, 2015, before our annual Open House, GCCS will be providing the NetSmartz parent workshop and will cover topics such as, cyberbullying, sexting, and guidelines for social networking, among many others. Additionally, the NCMEC has made available NetSmartz resources for parents and guardians to help guide your children through this ever changing information age.
