The program is called NetSmartz and is an an interactive, educational program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) that provides age-appropriate resources to help teach children how to be safer online and offline. The program is designed for children ages 5-17, parents and guardians, educators, and law enforcement. Click the links below to discover more about your child’s NetSmartz presentation.
Next Wednesday, September 30, 2015, before our annual Open House, GCCS will be providing the NetSmartz parent workshop and will cover topics such as, cyberbullying, sexting, and guidelines for social networking, among many others. We have prepared what we hope is an enjoyable and informative evening for everyone. There will be two(2) pre-presentations, notably the 5:30pm internet safety presentation, provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, called Net Smartz.
These will be followed by two(2) identical Open House Sessions, to accommodate the work schedules of parent’s and guardian’s and those who have multiple children attending the school.
The food trucks will be open concurrently throughout the entire evening, with seating in the school cafeteria provided for your convenience. Click HERE for more details about the plans for the evening.
